The Golf Caddy Speech is a speech Mr. Ridgemount gives his kids when one of them does something wrong (e.g., set the boathouse on fire, parties).

What it discusses

It talks about how Mr. Ridgemount worked his way through college as a golf caddy. Presumably, the work ethic he developed from this eventually led him to build Surfer's Paradise Ridgemount Resort and start the Ridgemount Resorts hotel chain.

  • Ty and George were already familiar with the Golf Caddy Speech while Mr. Ridgemount was giving it to their sister, meaning each of them has done something bad in the past.
    • In George's case, it was probably for setting the boathouse on fire. It's unknown what Ty did to receive the speech.
