The Grom initiation is an event where the new staff members/Groms have to do whatever the senior staff members tell them to do. The initiation is a form of hazing where the seniors can do whatever they like to the groms for the day. If the groms complete everything, then they get to see and surf the Office. Reef, Broseph, Fin, Lo and Emma successfully passed the initiation thanks to Lo finding a keychain with a tiny surfboard attached inside a dumpster, much to the chagrin of Kelly, who had led the initiation of the groms.
